- I am sharing 2 quick ways of preparing it, Flower Shape :
- Take 1 sheet & cut into a disc-shape
- Put 1 tbsp dates paste in the centre & make a small ball out of it
- Roll out the sheet gently avoiding dates paste to leak
- With a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the outside of this sheet leaving ½ inch gap each, ensuring not to cut through the centre else the sheet will fall apart
- Slightly layer those cut strings over each other ensuring the circle doesn’t break, else you can keep as-is
- Brush with little milk to get a Golden and crispy texture
- Another one, Braided shape :
- Take a sheet & cut into square
- Leaving 2 cm vertically from the middle, make cuts with a pizza cutter at the right & left, from top to bottom
- Now add Dates paste vertically in the middle
- Start braiding it by overlapping 1 string from right and then another from left, again from right & left… continue until you reach the bottom of the sheet
- By doing so you are sealing the paste tightly inside the pastry sheet
- Seal the bottom edges with milk
- Brush the sheet with Milk for Golden & crisp texture
- Pre-heat Air-fryer @ 200 degrees for 4 mins
