Celebrate 🪔 Diwali by baking 🍩 Donuts Gulab Jamun in Air Fryer to satisfy those festive cravings. It’s a zero-oil yet super moist & luscious dessert 😍.
⏰ Prep Time : 5 mins, 🍲 Air fry Time : 12 mins, 🍴 Makes : 12 jamuns
🌾 Ingredients for Donuts Gulab Jamun :
Gulab Jamuns :
- 180 gms / 1 small pack of Halidram’s Gulab Jamun pre-mix
- 90 ml Water / milk
- 2 tbsp Pure Ghee (for coating)
Sugar Syrup :
- ¾ cup White Sugar
- 1.5 cups Water
- For fragrance (optional) :
- 1 tsp Kewra water
- 4 cardamom pods
- Few Saffron strands
Garnishing :
- Readymade Cream
- Pistachios
♨️ Preparing Donuts Gulab Jamun :
Sugar Syrup :
- Light the stove, in a wok add water & sugar.
- Once sugar is dissolved, add cardamom pods, saffron strands and let it boil for 7 mins.
- Turn-off the flame, add kewra water & let it cool slightly.
Gulab Jamuns :
- In a bowl make a dough by combining pre-mix & milk.
- Let it rest for 10 mins.
- Now make small balls from dough – I made round, oval and donuts
- For donuts shape take a ball, flatten it using cookie cutter, cut a circle and dig a hole.
- Preheat air fryer @180° C for 5 mins.
- Coat ghee on jamuns & place in air fryer to bake @160° C for 3 mins.
- Flip once coat ghee bake for 3 mins
- Repeat step 7 twice.
- Once cooked immediately dunk into warm sugar syrup & let it soak for 2-3 hours so t doubles in size.
🍽 Assembling Donuts Gulab Jamun :
- Ones which are oval shaped slit them length-wise to add cream & top it up with nuts.
- To serve donuts jamun take a serving plate place 1 donut add cream & add another donut.
- Traditional shaped jamuns can be served using nuts
- Drizzle some syrup right before serving gulab jamuns for extra shine 😊
- You can enjoy them warm or at room temperature either ways it tastes amazing 😋.
Tips for a perfect result :
- Add little milk at a time to avoid dough becoming runny.
- If you like less colour to jamuns then at step 8 reduce baking time to 2 mins each.
