Khajoor Modak Toffee

Toffee makes me nostalgic am sure you will also have fond memories 😌. No festivities 🎊 are complete without a dessert 😉. Hence, this Diwali 💫, which is known for brightness ⭐, happiness 👏and prosperity❤, I thought of re-living my childhood memories 🤗. Here’s, presenting 100% vegan, healthy and sticky toffee 😋 to be cherished by your loved ones 😍

 

⏰ Prep Time : 10 mins 🍲 Cooking Time : 7-10 mins 🍴 Servings : 7 to 10 modaks

 

🌾 Ingredients for Khajoor Modak Toffee :

  • ½ cup seedless dates
  • ½ cup dairy-free Milk powder or any
  • 1 tsp Coconut oil or any oil/ghee
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon powder
  • 2-3 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp White Sesame seeds
  • Chopped nuts, optional

 

♨️ Preparing Khajoor Modak Toffee :

  1. Take a wok to dates and stir on a medium low flame, until it becomes a soft paste
  2. Put some oil and stir for 1-2 mins
  3. Now add milk powder and cinnamon powder and cook for another min
  4. Add nuts and remove in a bowl to allow it to cool

 

🍽 Assembling Khajoor Modak Toffee :

  1. Take modak moulds and grease it with oil
  2. Start filling it with khajoor filling and press it tightly to let the shape be taken by the batter
  3. Demould and roll it in sesame seeds
  4. Garnish with nuts and enjoy with family friends
