🍕Pizza Doughnut Cone

This 🎊New Year 🎉 bake eggless, caramelized 🍕 Pizza Doughnut Cones in 𝗔𝗶𝗿 𝗙𝗿𝘆𝗲𝗿 also known as Chimney cake or Trdelnik, a sweet & savoury cinnamon pastry popular in 🇨🇿 Czech. It’s crunchy, moist, nutty texture will make you gobble it in festive season ☃️.

⏰ Prep Time : 5 mins 🥖Proofing time : 2 hours + 30 mins 🍲 Air fry Time : 12 + 5 mins, 🍴 Makes : 12 cones

🌾 Ingredients for Pizza Doughnut Cones :

Dough :

  • ½ tbsp instant dry Yeast
  • ¼ cup lukewarm Water
  • ½ tbsp Demerara Sugar
  • 2.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Canola Oil

To roll cones mix 2 tbsp Demerara Sugar + 1 tsp Cinnamon powder

Pizza Filling :

  • ¼ cup mix bell peppers
  • 2 tbsp Black & Green Olives
  • ¼ cup Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp Mayo
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup

♨️ Preparing Pizza Doughnut Cones :

  1. Mix dough ingredients & knead for 5 mins, rest it for 2 hours or until it doubles in size.
  2. Gently knead it again for 1 min to release the air and make it pliable.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls & make strands about ½ inch thick.
  4. Grease cone moulds and wrap these strands on it. If you don’t have cone moulds then roll aluminium foil for a cone shape.
  5. Roll the mould gently so strands flattened & stick to each other.
  6. Spray some oil and dunk into sugar + cinnamon powder mix & rest it for 30 mins.
  7. Likewise prepare other cones.
  8. Preheat air fryer @180° C for 5 mins.
  9. Place cone moulds in air fryer & bake @140° C for 12 mins.
  10. Once baked gently remove from air fryer & let it cool slightly.
  11. Meanwhile roast chopped bell peppers @180° C for 5 mins in.
  12. Demould doughnuts from cone, spread generous amount of mayo in it.
  13. Layer with bell peppers, ketchup & cheese & finish with olives.
  14. Bake again @180° C for 5 mins in air fryer or until cheese melts & remove it.

🍽 Assembling Pizza Doughnut Cones :

  1. Serve it warm with cup of tea.
  2. You can also fill it with ice-cream and drizzle some chocolate syrup, choices are endless 😋.

 

Useful Tips :

  • Make sure to proof the dough for the perfect results.
  • If you like crunchy cones then before demoulding bake them another 5 mins.
