๐ŸŒพ Ingredients for Spanakopita :

Base :

  • 5 Phyllo Sheets
  • ยผ cup Canola Oil for brushing

Filling :

  • 100 gms finely chopped Spinach
  • 100 gms crumbled Tofu
  • Condiments (Salt, Powdered-Black Pepper, Fennel Seeds, Coriander, Cloves, Garam Masala)
  • 1 clove of Garlic
  • 1 small Onion
  • 1 tsp grated Ginger
  • 1 small Tomato
  • ยผ cup Dairy free Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Canola Oil

ย Garnishing :

  • 2 tbsp Black & Green Olives
  • 4-5 Mint leaves
  • 1 Spring onion

โ™จ๏ธ Preparing Spanakopita :

  1. Lets make the filling first by adding oil in a wok then gradually add garlic, onion, ginger & tomato and sautรฉ them.
  2. Add condiments and cook for 5 mins until oil separates.
  3. Now add spinach & tofu and cook them for 10 mins, then transfer to a bowl to let it cool.
  4. Take 1 phyllo sheet, brush some oil, spread mayo with little amount of filling, then roll the sheets length-wise.
  5. Repeat this step with the remaining phyllo sheets.
  6. Now start arranging them in a spiral form and place it in a greased tin.
  7. Preheat air fryer @180ยฐ C for 5 mins.
  8. Place tin in air fryer & bake @150ยฐ C for 30 mins, flip & bake another 10 mins for even browning.
  9. Once baked gently remove from air fryer & let it cool slightly.

๐Ÿฝ Assembling Spanakopita :

  1. Brush some oil while its warm to retain its crunchiness.
  2. Sprinkle olives, mint leaves and spring onions
  3. Serve them warm and enjoy feasting ๐Ÿ˜‹.

Useful Tips :

  • Keep it the Galatopita in air fryer after its cooked, this will ensure its evenly cooked.
  • You can make it a night before and refrigerate and bake it next day the taste is intact.
