Presenting savoury 🥖 ‘Za’atar Brioche Bread’ known for its rich, golden, flaky texture 😋. Its typically loaded with butter & eggs but bake with me butter-less & eggless using healthy ingredients easily available in your kitchen.

⏰ Prep Time : 5 mins, 🥖Proofing time : 3 hrs + 1 hr, 🍲 Air fry Time : 30 mins, 🍴 Servings : 1 loaf
🌾 Ingredients for Za’atar Brioche Bread :
- 1 tsp Instant Dry Yeast
- 1 tbsp Demerara Sugar
- ¼ cup Water
- 2½ cup Wheat flour
- 4 tbsp Za’atar
- ¼ tsp Salt
- A pinch Black Pepper powder
- 2 tbsp + 1 tsp extra for bushing Canola Oil
♨️ Preparing Za’atar Brioche Bread :
- In a bowl take lukewarm & mix all ingredients, except za’atar to form a soft dough, knead for 5 mins
- Grease it, cover with cling film, keep it in warm place to proof for 2.5 hours or until doubled
- Knead dough for a min, make few balls, flatten in rectangular shape, add za’atar & seal log
- Make 2 long cuts to get 3 ropes & braid it
- Pinch the top of the bread to hold the shape
- Grease bread tin & place the braided bread in it
- Brush oil to avoid it rough edges
- Cover it with cling film & let it rest for 1 hour in a warm place
- Preheat air fryer @ 150° C for 5 mins
- Brush some oil, place tin in air fryer to bake @ 140° C for 30 mins or until cooked
- Remove bread tin & let it cool
🍽 Assembling Za’atar Brioche Bread :
- Demould break and put on a wired rack
- Sprinkle some cheese optional though, serve warm or room temperature consume fresh tastes great 😋
